UNEP/UNDP workshops have been held on 18-28 August in the East region of Republic of Kazakhstan: Pavlodar, Semipalatinsk and Ust-Kamenogorsk. Climate Change Coordination Center members carried out workshops for more than 130 specialists in refrigeration sector. During the workshops 133 technicians have been taught: two of them have been conducted with the framework of UNEP programme with 51 participants and three workshops - within UNDP and 72 technicians have been trained.

New refrigerant recovery and recycling equipment was distributed at the workshops: 127 freon recovery kits and 18 kits including freon recycling facilities.
