Subscribes The twenty-sixth sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held from 7-18 May 2007.
The third session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG) will be held from 14-18 May. The third workshop under the Dialogue on long-term cooperative action to address climate change by enhancing implementation of the Convention will take place from 16-17 May 2006. All meetings will be held at the Hotel Maritim, Godesberger Allee, 53175 Bonn, Germany.
Indonesia to host United Nations Climate Change Conference
14 February 2007, Bonn -- The Bureau decided to accept the offer by the Government of Indonesia to host the Conference of the Parties (COP 13) and the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 3) in Nusa Dua, Bali, 3 to 14 December 2007.
February 16, 2005 - a date the Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change has entered into force. This happened due to political will of many countries and governments. Following the Kyoto provisions for countries especially developed ones will cause considerable efforts and financial costs.
For developing and with economy in transition countries this is a chance to push forward their economy and concurrently solve many environmental challenges.
